This course is an introduction to port and terminal operations management, and performance assessment of ports and intermodal terminals. The course will focus on the operational aspects of maritime port operations, intermodal transportation systems, and their role in the international Shipping Market.

- Review major liners, cargo and shipowners, their trading patterns, and future trends in the industry.
- Discuss the recent innovative ideas related to the vessels' modifications and terminal operational upgrades.
- List types of terminals and ships' specifications/requirements.
- Describe the Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) management of terminals.
- Identify commercial and financial aspects of terminal operations.
