Course Overview
This course is in accordance with the training requirements of Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) G-229 "CERTIFICATION OF EXPOSURE DEVICE OPERATORS". Material covered in this course will include: principles of gamma radiography, all applicable aspects of radiation protection and radiation safety principles, the principles of operation of industrial radiography exposure devices and their normal operating and emergency procedures. Also covered are the relevant sections of the NSC Act and applicable regulations made pursuant to the NSC Act (paragraph 3.2 in the G-229 Guide). Course requires that students can use a calculator, manipulate formulae, and use exponential functions.
