Overview
The Advanced Forensic Nurse Examiner (FNE) online microcredential builds upon the Forensic Nurse Examiner microcredential. It offers ongoing education for FNEs to refresh skills, gain specialized competencies to meet patient and legal system needs, and maintain their credibility as expert witnesses in court.
To earn the 3.0-credit microcredential, students must earn six badges by successfully completing six 0.5-credit courses. Each course involves seven hours of instruction. The majority of the courses will be delivered online, with a combination of asynchronous content and synchronous workshops. The one course that will be in-person, to teach hands-on skills, will be a single-day course. There are sufficient online courses offered to allow students to complete this microcredential fully online.
